Professional Work

My experience has included government sites, requiring an understanding of usability concerns, as well as eLearning.

Main skills: PHP (incl. Drupal framework), PostgreSQL, MySQL, Linux, and I have enjoyed working in Javascript and Actionscript

I have recently been working at Catalyst I.T. Limited as a developer in the eLearning team, programming and maintaining the Moodle learning management system. Many were corporate intranet sites, but others included Waikato and Massey universities. I also created a couple of modules.

The code I've written professionally is of course owned by the companies I worked for but I can show a few examples online.

• I worked on the Telecom Annual Report 2007 including coding their complex menu system (difficult in Drupal) and their javascript.
• In the New Zealand Film & Television School site, I applied the design ideas to Drupal, including the menu with its unusual submenus as well as the javascript for the left staff column etc.
• My work on the Drug foundation site included adding a shopping cart and a payment gateway.
• I did a lot of the work on the lawlink.co.nz/ site.
